Daye Polytechnic College Leadership Emphasizes Readiness for DOCO and Quality Training Implementation
Daye Polytechnic College conducted a productive meeting with all department and occupation heads to review key institutional activities, including the ISO implementation process and the evaluation of the current trainee admission system. The meeting aimed to ensure effective preparation for the upcoming DOCO (Day One Class One) and to strengthen leadership engagement across all departments.
Dean Ato Zeleke Shode appreciated the collaborative efforts of all departments and acknowledged their contributions toward improving the college’s overall performance. He highlighted the importance of maintaining quality and consistency in implementing the ISO system, ensuring that all processes are aligned with institutional standards.
He also stressed that continuous evaluation and improvement of the trainee admission process are essential to achieving excellence in service delivery and training outcomes. The Dean called upon all academic and administrative leaders to remain committed, proactive, and accountable as the college moves forward into the new academic year.
Vice Dean Ato Tamiru Tessema emphasized the need for strong leadership and follow-up as the college prepares to begin DOCO (Day One Class One) next week. He reminded all trainers to be fully prepared before the start of classes to prevent any interruptions in the training process.
He also instructed department heads and trainers to manage both registration and training activities in accordance with the directions provided during the meeting, ensuring smooth coordination and timely execution.
Finally, Ato Tamiru encouraged all staff to work together with commitment and discipline, reinforcing that teamwork and readiness are vital for delivering quality TVET education and achieving the college’s mission.
