Daye Polytechnic College Conducts Awareness Session on Psychometric TVET Placement System for 2018 E.C. New Entrants
Daye Polytechnic College has organized an awareness program for all department heads and other respected stakeholders on the Psychometric TVET Placement System for the new entrants of the 2018 E.C. academic year.
His Excellency Ato Tamiru Tessema, Vice Dean of Daye Polytechnic College, delivered the opening speech and highlighted the importance of the psychometric test in ensuring that trainees are placed in occupations that best fit their interests, abilities, and aptitudes. He emphasized that all 2018 E.C. entry trainees are required to take the psychometric test before joining their chosen occupations, in accordance with the Ministry of Labor and Skills’ TVET placement guidelines.
The Vice Dean further noted that this system plays a key role in improving training quality, career satisfaction, and workforce competency, ultimately contributing to national development goals.
Participants appreciated the initiative and expressed their commitment to effectively implement the new psychometric-based placement approach across all departments.
